Description

A crystal wine jug mounted in gilded silver, made in France around 1900. It features a multi-lobed vermeil base, adorned with a decoration of shells and trelliswork from which foliage springs forth. This decoration blends with the curves and counter-curves of a crystal body featuring twisted godrons. The handle also follows these curves. The neck, meanwhile, features floral pilasters with a Rocaille motif. The slender lid can be lifted by a knob.
