A marquetry presenting a view of Ribeauvillé. In the foreground, we can see a group of peasants, with one of them leading the others. In the middle ground, we can see a part of the town, with a timber frame house and a wall tower on which there’s a stork’s nest. In the background, we can see the three castles overhanging the town: the Haut-Ribeaupierre, the Saint-Ulrich and the Girsberg. The panel is signed “Spindler” in the lower right corner for Paul Spindler (1906-1980).
