Description
An honorary conductor’s baton made of wood and silver circa 1946, formerly owned by John M. Morrison. The instrument features a cylindrical blackened-wood shaft with silvered ends. The short silver handle, used to hold the baton, bears engraved ornamentation and four hallmarks. The center of the baton is overlaid with an engraved silver plaque featuring four hallmarks and an inscription: “TO JOHN M. MORRISON FROM M.A.D.O.S. 26. 6. 46”.
