A gouache on paper presenting a miniature with an Old Testament scene, made in Strasbourg by Friedrich Brentel (1580-1651) in 1648. This episode shows Jacob rolling away the stone in front of the well to water Rachel’s sheeps. The painting is signed and dated in the golden margin “Friderich Brentel” and “1648”.
