Description
A watercolor by Arthur Gué (1857-1916) depicting a view of the Grand Trianon gardens at Versailles. In the foreground is the square pond with a lead sculpture of a Satyr and Panther in its center, by Balthasar and Gaspard Marsy.
Signed in the lower left corner, “Arthur Gué.” A label on the back of the painting reads: “A. Gué, 7 rue du Boccador (8th Ar.) Jardin du Grand Trianon.”
Its golden frame is in the Louis XV style.
