Description
A stoneware beer pitcher with the brewer star, made in Betschdorf (Alsace) circa the middle of the 19th century. This star is very similar to the star of David but hasn’t any link with it. It must be read as a symbol for alchemy.
Period : circa 1850
Height : 18,5 cm
Condition : very good, one firing crack on the handle
