Description
An oil painting on canvas presenting a street view of Riquewihr, Alsace, signed by Lucien Haffen (1888-1968) at the bottom right corner. The central part of the painting shows a few unidentified streetwalkers. The left part of the foreground depicts four barrels. The narrow street leads the viewer to a focal point, where a small part of the Vosges Mountains can be seen. With the orange of the rooftops, Lucien Haffen puts in contrast a blue, yet cloudy sky.
