Lion in faience
A lion in faience made in Saint-Clément, end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20 century.
Description
An heraldic lion in faience, in blue monochrome, was made in the Manufacture of Saint-Clément Keller & Guérin. The signature is affixed on the back part of the base.
The lion stands up its back legs and its front legs hold a helmet. On its legs, there is the emblem of Nancy and a motto “Non inultus tremor”. This motto accentuates the attachment to the Nancy city.
Period : the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century
