Description
A soft-paste porcelain juice jug, made in Mennecy at the Duke of Villeroy’s factory. Resting on a narrow foot, the body is covered with twisted ribs in slight relief, decorated with a polychrome design of bouquets of flowers, which is also found on the lid. The lid handle is shaped like a fruit with foliage.
Marked in low relief on the underside: “DV” for Duc de Villeroy.
Period: circa 1770

Condition: minor chip on the rim and a cracked handle.
