An Alsatian chair with a sculpted backrest in walnut wood, from the beginning of the 19th century. On the backrest, we can see multiple patterns crossing each other: a heart interlaced with an upside down heart, a eight symbolic for infinity and a marriage ring surrounding every crossing. It probably is a wedding present.
