A cherry wood small chest, from around 1700. The wood is decorated with scrolls patterns. It might be a wedding small chest, as the two flaming hearts surrounded by two birds in the center of the lid are suggesting. Above them, we can read “Unis par amour” (= “United through love”). The small chest has a hinged lid and a red velvet garnished inside.
