A carved fruitwood cask lock with two intertwined dolphins, made in the Upper Rhine. The two mouths with lips marked with original red paint, are characterised by round bulging eyes. The fins extend in an undulating fashion over the bottom and the body of the sculpture. The scaled tails end in a ducted tail fin. A brass screw is fixed between the two fish.
