A bas-relief sculpture in sandstone presenting the Annunciation. As in the Biblical episode, there are two characters which are carved in sandstone. On the left, we can see Gabriel, the archangel. He is represented with his raised finger to announce the divine pregnancy to Mary. O the right, Mary is seated, with her hands joined and lowered expression. The Fleur-de-lis is the jointe between Gabriel and Mary. It supports Mary’s virginity throughout the Annunciation.
