Description
A glazed terracotta vase, made in Soufflenheim, Alsace, in the ‘Elchinger et Fils’ workshops of Léon Elchinger (1871–1942) in the early 20th century. This large vase features a figurative design comprising fir branches and pine cones on a broad body with a beige base and a green neck.
Signature on the reverse of the vase: ‘730 7’, circular mark ‘PH. Elchinger U.SÖHNE Sufflenheim I. Els.’.
Date: circa 1900–1919.
