Tall polychrome statue

A tall statue of a woman in carved wood made in Italy or France with original polychromy. The contrapposto figure and the face give drama and compassion to the whole. Without the attributes, it is impossible to characterize the figure.

Period : end of the 17th century, beginning of the 18th century

Height : about 120 cm, 47 inches

Condition : big part of the original polychromy preserved, missing an item and fingers in the left hand
