An engraved and cut frosted glass, composed of a layer of red on translucent. This is a souvenir glass from Baden-Baden, on which is an engraving of Strasbourg cathedral, depicting the western side. The connection between Baden-Baden and Strasbourg is due to the proximity of the two cities. The glass is also decorated with rocaille ornementation, reflecting the taste of the 1860s-1890s. The inscription “Souvenir de Bade” can be found in a cartouche, while the inscription “Cathédrale de Strasbourg” can be found underneath the cathedral.
