Description
A watercolor representing the Virgin Mary after the Annunciation made by Charles Spindler (1865-1938) in 1936. The Virgin is nimbed and sitting on a bench seat in a medieval styled room. Behind her a canopy bed with green sheets. On her right, a cattail is standing. At her feet is represented a white cross. Details are accentuated with ink strips. The work is signed and dated in the left corner “C. Spindler 1936”.
