Turtle wall fountain — Sarreguemines porcelain

Wall-mounted turtle fountain and basin, majolica, made around 1890, Sarreguemines. The green turtle is mounted on the wall. With its head facing downwards, it serves as a reservoir that can be opened at the rear of the reptile. It is accompanied by a conch-shaped basin.

Engraved on the turtle and the basin: ‘SARREGUEMINES’.
