A ball<\/span>\u00a0note-book\/aide-m\u00e9moire<\/span> with hinged covers of mother\u00a0mother<\/span>–of<\/span>–pearl<\/span> plaques, made in Paris circa 1812.<\/span>\u00a0The<\/span> interior<\/span> consists<\/span> of<\/span> various<\/span> pages<\/span> and<\/span> a <\/span>small<\/span> mirror<\/span>. Its<\/span> gilt-silver hinge<\/span>\u00a0is<\/span> engraved<\/span> like book with<\/span> the<\/span> inscriptions on the back “<\/span>1812″ and<\/span> “souvenir<\/span>.” Clasped with gilt-silver <\/span>pencil<\/span>. <\/span><\/div>\n
