An oil on panel depicting Little Red Riding Hood by Eugène Modeste Edmond Le Poittevin (1806-1870), illustrating the dialogue with the wolf disguised as the grandmother: “Pull out the peg and the latch will fall.” At the doorstep, she holds a pot of butter, the cake, and her little red hood. She is wearing a flower crown.
