A carved and gilded wooden rocaille console. It presents in its centre a cordiform cartouche, surrounded by typically rocaille ornaments, curves and counter-curves, evoking shells as well as foliage. Flowers can also be seen in the upper left and right corners. It may be possible that this object was a “Miséricorde”.
